Oliver Watts

Oliver Watts is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Economic and Financial Consulting practice. He is based in Singapore.

Oliver joined the firm in March 2011, following its transaction with LECG. He was previously based in Singapore between May 2012 and April 2017 and in Washington, DC between May 2017 and February 2019.

Oliver has over 10 years experience performing economic and financial analysis and business valuations in a variety of contexts; including post-acquisition disputes, shareholder disputes, patent infringements and contractual breaches.

Oliver has prepared reports for submission to the UK High Court, the Singapore High Court and the Australian Federal Court, as well as in arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, SIAC and UNCITRAL. He has been appointed as an expert witness on matters before SIAC, the Singapore High Court and the Hong Kong High Court and testified before SIAC and the Singapore High Court.

Oliver has been identified by Who’s Who Legal as a “Future Leader” in its listings of the leading expert witnesses active in international arbitration.

Oliver has significant experience in valuations and financial modelling. In Singapore he produced and delivered valuation and financial modelling training courses to junior staff in the Economic and Financial Consulting practice. In Washington he was part of a team to design and deliver a training program across the North American Economic and Financial Consulting practice.

Oliver is a chartered accountant and member of the ICAEW and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Oliver graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2010, where he received a first-class honours degree in Economics.
